Hey, I'm Apollyon 👋
I’m a queer, neurodivergent (ADHD) software engineer based in San Francisco with 20 years of experience across engineering, security, and compliance. I’ve worked at both Fortune 100s and scrappy startups, led teams, built systems at scale, and spent a lot of time trying to make sure other people’s bad ideas didn’t turn into worse products.
These days, I’m focused on building tools, platforms, and protocols that put people first, especially the ones mainstream tech leaves behind. That means prioritizing privacy, consent, autonomy, and safety in everything I build. It also means questioning the defaults, challenging harmful assumptions, and doing the hard work of making digital spaces less hostile and more human.
Whether it’s Submit, the XC Protocol, open-source tools, or collaborative community efforts, all of my work is rooted in the same core belief: we deserve better systems. Especially LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC folks, creators, and anyone else who's been told the internet isn’t for them. I build with care, with conviction, and with the hope that the next generation of platforms won’t need to apologize for what they are.
If any of that resonates, you’re in the right place.
